What this blog is all about

This blog will help you achieve your fitness goals in a way you’ll enjoy yourself and take pride in your progress.

For years I’ve seen people go to the gym with no motivation, simply going through the motions, and with little to no progress. I was one of them, up until a couple of years ago I was your average gym goer, basically:

  • I had no real motivation
  • I made very little progress
  • I had no real goals
  • I didn’t really know why I was doing what I was doing for

Does any of this sound familiar? I’m sure it does, and it will keep happening until you start making (and seeing) real progress.

This is what this blog is all about: real, no-nonsense tips, tricks, hacks and how-to’s that will help you build a body you can be proud of! This means a strong, well-conditioned flexible body that will let you enjoy life to its fullest!

Who is this blog for?

Positive, can-do, focused people not afraid of challenging themselves. People who want to live a healthier life without sacrificing other aspects of it. If this sounds like you, you’re probably pretty awesome already, so let’s go do some amazing things!

If you’re going to be looking for excuses, magical recepies (or abs in 2 weeks with this top martian secret gym coaches don’t want you to know) or reasons why not to practice, then I’m sorry, but this is most definitely not the place for you!

Who am I and why I’m writing this blog?

I’m first and foremost a fitness enthusiast, I’m not a pro, and I don’t workout for hours every day. I’m a regular guy, with regular genes and a lot of determination (I did say I’ve been at years without real results right?). A couple of years ago I decided to change everything about my training and focused not on looks, but on numbers, and the changes have been amazing, and I want to share this with you!

If you have any particular topic you would like me to post or discuss, please feel free to drop me a line @ manuelbrito25@gmail.com, I’ll try to give you a hand as best I can!

  1. I went from 20 pullups easily at 16 years old (religiously following convict conditioning) to struggling to do 10 now at 19. It’s been tough to fit working out into my schedule while smoking packs daily and going to trade school 8 hours/5 days, but stumbling on your blog was motivation. Finding “how to workout for busy people” (should be changed to lazy and tired people IMO :p) was a plan.

Back to doing bodyweight fitness reps to death for me. Thanks for the inspiration.
